Female Country Hitmakers to Headline Key Western Fest in Florida Keys

Female performers who have helped define modern country music are to enthrall audiences at Key Western Fest in the continental United States’ southernmost island city — all demonstrating the talent, spirit and sass that powered their success in the once male-dominated genre.

The multiday musical showcase in subtropical Key West is set for Tuesday through Saturday, Jan. 30 through Feb. 3, headquartered at the open-air Coffee Butler Amphitheater on East Quay Road in Truman Waterfront Park.

Spectators can anticipate high-energy shows by contemporary country hitmakers including Wynonna Judd, Tanya Tucker, Jo Dee Messina, Lee Ann Womack, Sara Evans, Mickey Guyton, Terri Clark, Deana Carter, Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss and many others.

Guided by special guest host Jim Lauderdale, a notable force on the country and bluegrass scene, the festival is a world-class “reunion” for celebrated sisters of song.

Key Western Fest’s amphitheater shows generally begin about 5 p.m. each day and continue until midnight. In addition, daytime performances are scheduled in intimate island settings including resort poolsides and piers, bars, beaches and even a 65-foot catamaran during live music sailing excursions.

While enjoying the onstage action at the amphitheater, audience members can purchase offerings from local food trucks, mobile bars and other vendors to round out their experience.

Attendees also can discover the historic sites and museums, eco-tours, inviting restaurants, on-the-water activities and warm “winter” weather that characterize subtropical Key West.
