German PR Firm 'Get It Across' Named Agency of Record for Visit Florida Keys

The PR and marketing agency Get It Across will now be responsible for media relations for the destination Visit Florida Keys in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) as well as in the Benelux countries.

KEY WEST, Fla. (August 5, 2025) — For more than 25 years, the Cologne-based agency has managed trade marketing for the Florida Keys & Key West. Now, with an expanded partnership, Get It Across will take on media relations and communications, with the goal of enhancing the tourism profile of the island chain across both traditional and digital media channels.

Stretching about 180 kilometers (112 miles) south of Miami, the Florida Keys form a tropical island chain that ends in Key West. The region is considered one of Florida’s most distinctive and highly desirable travel destinations and is known for its shimmering turquoise waters, protected natural landscapes, and a lifestyle that’s shaped by the sea. With a mild year-round climate, celebrated diversity, and a commitment to sustainability under the “Stewards of the Keys” initiative, the Florida Keys truly is a destination with purpose.

Between coral reefs, magnificent mangrove forests, and stunning sandbanks, there’s a wide variety of activities to enjoy. From diving, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, and boat tours to hiking in nature parks or watching the sunset at Mallory Square in Key West, the options for enjoyment are endless.

Culture and Cuisine

As the southernmost- destination in the continental United States, the Florida Keys & Key West impress with historic architecture, vibrant cultural scene, and a welcoming, creative community. Its local cuisine is shaped by freshly caught fish, Caribbean influences, and the iconic Key Lime Pie. From the recent five-day Key Lime Festival in Key West, to the Taste the Keys foodie event in Key Largo this October, the destination offers flavors for every taste.

The Florida Keys & Key West also offer a variety of festivities and cultural events all year round: from Hemingway Days to Fantasy Fest, to an iconic New Year’s Eve celebration.
