‘Kids Keys’ Values Available for Families Through Oct. 13

Parents, kids, grandparents and extended families can explore Florida Keys attractions, tours, nature and wildlife centers, museums, watersports and other offerings through a value-added program that provides free admission or special rates for children age 12 and under.

The Kids Keys Deals program continues through Sunday, Oct. 13, and is spearheaded by the Key West Attractions Association.

Families can visit KidsKeysDeals.com to download coupons or book visits to historic attractions, museums and wildlife centers, as well as sightseeing tours and on-the-water adventures. The site features links to participating businesses and information about their offerings.

The program requires that each child be accompanied by at least one paying adult, and is open to both visiting families and Keys residents.

Participating attractions in Key West include the Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum, Conch Tour Train, Key West Aquarium, Old Town Trolley Tours, Sails to Rails Museum, Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden, Alex Vega Key West Firehouse Museum, Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory and Harry S. Truman Little White House.

Elsewhere in the island chain, participants include the Middle Keys’ Dolphin Research Center, an acclaimed nonprofit marine mammal research and education facility; Marathon’s world-renowned Turtle Hospital and Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters marine park; and Islamorada’s History of Diving Museum.

Also featured are watersports excursions such as snorkeling and dolphin-watch trips and sunset sails. Participating watersports operators include Sunset Watersports, Fury Water Adventures and Brightwild Adventures.

And when kids get hungry, restaurant values are available from White Street Pizza, Island Dogs Bar and Rainbow Cone.
