Maritime Wares to ‘Anchor’ Big Pine Nautical Expo Jan. 13-14
Boaters, anglers, divers, snorkelers, kayakers, paddleboarders and others who enjoy the Florida Keys marine environment can find gear for their on-the-water adventures Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 13-14, at the Big Pine & Lower Keys Nautical Expo.
Now in its 20th year, the maritime marketplace is to be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, mile marker 31 oceanside on Big Pine Key.
Visitors to the inviting open-air event can browse and purchase merchandise including boating supplies, dive and snorkel equipment, a wide variety of fishing gear, paddling paraphernalia and other nautical wares from more than 100 vendors.
Attendees also can find items to enhance a comfortable coastal lifestyle, including “salty” home and office décor. Additional offerings are to include colorful island-style clothing, jewelry and other unique items created by talented Keys artisans.
Shoppers can purchase food and beverages to savor while seeking bargains on equipment and supplies for their water-based pursuits.
Attractions at the family-friendly event also include live music provided by favorite local and regional entertainers. Florida Keys nonprofit organizations are to have a presence as well, sharing informative displays with expo visitors.
Proceeds from the Nautical Expo are to benefit the programs of the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce.
