Savor the Flavors of the Florida Keys at Taste the Keys

KEY LARGO, Fla. (September 18, 2025) – From fresh-caught Florida spiny lobster to conch ceviche to Key lime-infused delicacies, the culinary landscape of the Florida Keys is diverse as it is and delicious. And thanks to the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce, food lovers will get an entire month to savor the island’s flavors like never before during Taste the Keys — a 31 day culinary celebration spotlighting the unique flavors, vibrant culture, and community spirit of Key Largo. 

From October 1-31, 2025, residents and visitors can indulge in the flavors of Key Largo’s vibrant dining scene by embarking on a flavor-packed journey through the region’s top restaurants and culinary gems. From specially priced prix-fixe menus for brunch, lunch, or dinner, participating restaurants will offer a deliciously decadent twist that highlights the distinct personality of the Florida Keys.  

“Taste the Keys offers the perfect way to explore our area’s rich, authentic flavors and discover why the Florida Keys have become a must-visit destination for food lovers everywhere,” said Suzi Youngberg, President of the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce. “Expect creative takes on Caribbean and Cuban-inspired seafood, tropical fruits folded into savory and sweet dishes, and signature dishes like poached lobster, rum-soaked desserts, and, of course, the world-famous Key lime pie.” 

Signature Experiences, Not Just Menus 

Select restaurants and hotels will take dining to the next level with Signature Dining Experiences that go beyond traditional offerings. Think beachside tastings, interactive chef-led dinners, and themed nights showcasing the region’s legendary seafood, alongside Latin and Caribbean culinary influences. 

Foodie Trolley Tours: A Rolling Culinary Adventure 

On select Thursday evenings in October, ticketed guests can board the Taste the Keys Foodie Trolley Tour, a roving culinary experience that includes sample-sized dishes and paired drinks at 4-5 top local restaurants. For one flat fee, guests enjoy small plates from appetizers to desserts, plus a cocktail at each stop. Get your tickets now. 

Signature Dish Showdown: You Be the Judge 

One of the event’s most exciting elements is the Signature Dish Showdown, a month-long culinary competition where participating restaurants nominate one standout item from their prix-fixe menu. Diners can then sample as many as they like and then cast their votes online at TastetheKeys.com. And according to Youngberg, the new format keeps the spirit of the cook off alive while making it more accessible and beneficial to our restaurants. 

“It brings people through the doors, builds excitement throughout the month, and gives the public a direct voice in choosing the winners,” she said. Adding that votes will be tallied at the end of the promotion and winners will be announced in early November. 

Supporting Local Businesses and Hospitality 

Made possible in part by a grant from the Monroe County Tourist Development Council, Taste the Keys promotes economic vitality in Key Largo and throughout The Florida Keys by driving traffic to local establishments. Hotels and resorts throughout the upper keys are encouraged to participate and promote special packages.
