100 Boats, Four World Titles:
Key West Powerboat Racing Rocks the Conch Republic
KEY WEST, Fla. (November 7, 2026) — More than 90 offshore powerboats in 14 classes raced off Key West on Friday, from 21-foot bracket boats to 48-foot Class 1 boats. They are part of the biggest field the Key West World Championship has drawn in decades. The 45th annual race week, presented by XINSURANCE, has 100 boats entered, up from 98 last year.
The big field raced for big stakes. By the end of Friday's racing, all four UIM world championships on the line in Key West were decided, the first time four world titles have been settled here in a single race week.
Monster Energy / M CON took the Class 1 title by winning both Key West races. On Friday, running at more than 120 mph, it finished 17.44 seconds ahead of Outta Pocket Racing, with WHM Motorsports third. Marine Technology / GC Racing, second on Wednesday, completed only two laps.
CR Racing came from behind in Super Cat. Dirty Money Racing led the class standings coming into Key West. CR Racing won Wednesday, then beat Dirty Money by 7.23 seconds Friday to take the world title.
Super Stock, the largest class with 16 boats, produced the strangest finish of the day. Team Bermuda won Friday's race. Raymarine finished sixth and still won the world title on series points.
In Class 2, Montlick Injury Attorneys clinched the title Wednesday. Friday's Class 2 race went to 151 Express, the first win for Vinnie Diorio and Sean Conner as a team.
Racing wraps up Sunday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m., with double points awarded in the finale. Champions in every class will be honored at the awards banquet at 6 p.m. at the Coffee Butler Amphitheater in Key West.
Most offshore powerboat races run far out at sea, where fans can barely see them. In Key West, the boats race right through the harbor, close enough to watch from almost anywhere along the waterfront. The best seat in Key West is on the Outer Mole at Truman Waterfront Park, with tickets sold on site and at raceworldoffshore.com. Fans can also watch from Mallory Square, and every race streams live on the Race World Offshore and XINSURANCE Sports YouTube channels. The free Performance Offshore app posts live results, standings and race alerts for iPhone and Android at performanceoffshore.com.
